It’s been a long time huh? Well, I have a good reason for that- I’VE FINISHED MY FIRST YEAR OF UNI!!!!
Those of you who remember my “Time” post from a few months ago will remember I stated I won’t return BUT I have since met some really great people and they have helped my mental health improve so so much that I WILL RETURN!!!!
Also since then, I’ve met Team Starkid (The guys behind the potter musicals) and I even sang to them soooooo that was definitely a confidence booster!
Anyway, as I finished uni for a few months I thought I would post about the day out I had last Monday.
Okay, so the weekend before I had 3 assignments to finish…a portfolio, a blog and an essay/workshop plan.
All due in for this week at various days. So I worked my ass off on the weekend and had the physical hand ins ready for Monday. So after handing them in, I decided to treat myself to some treats from LUSH and Waterstones (and HMV).
So without further ado, here is my haul!
As you can see there are two bags of Waterstones (no surprise there) and one LUSH bag, so we’ll go for that one first…
I purchased 8 bath bombs, 1 body scrub, 1 FUN, 2 hand and body lotions (one is not pictured).
If you’re super curious about what bath bombs I got here is a lil list:
The FUN is called “Monsters and Aliens” and smells a lot like Lord of Misrule and is so so nice against my skin!!
And now for the books!
Okay so I purchased quite a few books on Monday and throughout this week I have received a few from publishers for a review. So this will be a mixture of books I personally bought and books I have been sent by publishers.
So I’m going to talk about these books in stages, from top row first, left to right we have…
-Almost Adulting by Arden Rose
-City of Saints and Thieves by Natalie C Anderson
-The Complete Works of William Shakespeare by William Shakespeare
-Love Song by Sophia Bennett
-The Incredible Adventures of Cinnamon Girl by Melissa Keil
-Gracefully Grayson by Ami Polonsky
-Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (UPDATED ED) by J.K. Rowling
The first two were sent to me by Harper360UK and Rock the Boat so thank you so so much!!! The rest I purchased myself with the complete works of Shakespeare being bought in a charity shop for £2.
Okay so here is the next set of books I’ve either purchased/been sent for review. Again, going from left to right starting with the top row.
-Romeo and or Juliet by Ryan North
-Letters from the Lighthouse by Emma Carroll
-The Girl of Ink and Stars by Kiran Millwood Hargrave
-Following Ophelia by Sophia Bennett
-Liberty: The Spy Who (kind of) Liked Me by Andrea Portes
-The Island at the End of Everything by Kiran Millwood Hargrave
-Lorali by Laura Dockrill
The only book featured in the above list that I received via publisher was Liberty so thank you once again to Harper360UK! They also sent these two cute badge/card/things with each bookmail!
LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ARE!!!!!!!
One book I haven’t mentioned is a “re-buy” due to the fact that it was a) in clearance and b) was signed!!!!
HOW COULD I RESIST THAT?!!?!?!?!
A special mention goes to these two DVDs that were a total impulse buy and they are La La Land and Game of Thrones Season 6.
I had to pick up the 6th season as the week before I’d purchase Season 1-5 for £25 at HMV through their PureHmv partners.
Anway that’s it for todays post. I hope to see you on here again soon!!
Let me know in the comments below what books you’ve bought this month and if you’ve read any of the books I’ve bought!
