    • I volunteer as trilogy

      Posted at 11:18 pm by jemima, on October 26, 2015

      This month I’d like your help in picking my TBR

      I want to read a series. Well, okay a trilogy.

      And I want your votes on which one:

      Up first we have the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo featuring the books;

      Shadow and Bone
      Seige and Storm
      Ruin and Rising

      “narrated by Alina Starkov, a teenage orphan who grows up in the land of Ravka before her entire life changes after unexpectedly harnessing a power she never knew she had to save her best friend”

      Next up we haaaave the Darkest Minds Trilogy by Alexandra Bracken, featuring the books;

      The Darkest Minds
      Never Fade
      In the Afterlight

      “Ruby, a 16-year-old girl with special abilities that she has only just begun to understand. She breaks out of a “rehabilitation camp” in which she has been imprisoned and teams up with a rag-tag group of fellow camp escapees to find the Slip Kid, a leader who offers shelter to young people in danger and who possesses the secret to controlling one’s power”

      And finally, the Selection series by Kiera Cass;

      The Selection
      The Elite
      The One
      The Heir

      “America Singer lives in a world with eight castes, depending on one’s social and economic status. Ones are the wealthiest and most desirable, with Eights being the lowest and poorest. America is a Five, which consists of the entertainers (e.g. dancers, singers, musicians). She recently received a notice stating that the prince of Illéa, – a futuristic United States which America lives in – Crown Prince Maxon Schreave will be holding the Selection, a competition for the prince’s hand and the crown of the princess”

      Complete TBR to go up in November

      “A bookshelf is a biography written by others” 3 days spent on building, shelving and then reorganising and finally my babies are up!😍📚✨
      Honestly so in love with my hair 😍✨
      ✨Yesterday marked the release of the *FINAL* book in the Throne of Glass series by @therealsjmaas. I’ve still got a way to catch up as I wanted to binge read the books (so yeah I’ve been waiting far too long to get back into this world). It’s a mammoth book and will end up being the longest I’ve ever read (it’s well over 900 pages long) and I’m far too excited to go back to #fae✨
      “Are not there little chapters in everybody's life, that seem to be nothing, and yet affect all the rest of the history?”- William Makepeace Thackeray ✨✨✨ Absolutely loving Vanity Fair on itv, @mammothscreen have done an excellent job with casting, costume, scenery (tbf everything is wonderful and I can’t love it anymore than I already do). It prompted me to pick up a copy and a coffee cause I gotta have coffee ☕️
      Lovely coffee date and catch up today with a uni friend. (Hence two cakes I didn’t eat both). I’ve also begun reading a book I picked up at #yalc last weekend. As soon as I saw it I was transfixed and needed it in my life. (Obama is still the best I love him to bits). Today begins a new readathon of which I am hosting the first night over on twitter so go follow Series Crackdown to track my progress tonight!
      #InspiredByFrida got to visit one of my “bucket list” places today; The V&A which meant I also got to check out their current exhibition; Frida Kahlo- Making Herself Up! It was wonderful and everything I hoped it would be. I hope I can go back soon! 💐🌺🌷
